Rutherford Hill Premier Crew
This wine began as an educational experiment and an opportunity for our cellar team at Rutherford Hill. Winemaker Marisa Taylor wanted to empower her team to utilize the skills she had shared with them. Starting with six barrels from our Block 5 estate vineyard in Pope Valley, the group divided into teams. Each team was responsible for strategizing the protocols for their barrel. After tasting each barrel, Marisa and team created a red blend of great balance and complexity arising with underlying notes of plum, mocha and spice. A true “premier crew!”
Aromas of pomegranate, plum, cherry cola with notes of chocolate and anise. This is a medium-bodied blend with plum and cherry overtones.
