Winery

The Rutherford Hill Estate features a world class winery with state of the art equipment, including a 'Winery Within a Winery'.  The 'Winery Within a Winery' features small tanks and allows our team to focus on small lots with unique characteristics that are worthy of their own bottling.

Vineyards

Our 130 acres of vineyards across Napa Valley reflect the region's diversity of soils and microclimates that allow the winery to consistently show the best of the appellation for every vintage. Pope Valley, on the warmer eastern edge of the Vaca Mountains, yields Merlot that is densely concentrated with flavor and ripe tannins. In Rutherford, our vineyard on Mee Lane offers a touch of "Rutherford Dust" - an ineffable, exquisite expression of place - to our Cabernet Sauvignon and in various blends. Lastly, the Rutherford Hill Estate Vineyard, in rocky, hillside soils, brings intensity and structure.

Caves

At Rutherford, we have one of Napa Valley's most extensive cave systems that run nearly a mile long.  The caves offer ideal conditions for aging our elegant wines, the high humidity and low temperatures produce an environment that minimizes evaporation and human interaction allowing them the age gracefully.
