The release of a new vintage of our Zinfandel Port is always cause for celebration! The wine’s seductive combination of spicy Zinfandel fruit enhanced by the richness of the fortifying brandy is nearly irresistible.
Our winemaking team is respectfully aware of the Port wine traditions stemming from Portugal’s Douro region but we put our own California spin on our wine. Rather than using the typical Portugal Port grapes of Tinta Barroca, or Touriga Nacional we choose to use Zinfandel.
We make our Zinfandel Port in an approachable style that Port novices and Port aficionados alike are delighted by. You will find this 2004 vintage in similar style as past bottlings: medium bodied, just slightly sweet, enthralling aromas and a gorgeous ruby-like color. |
